Singer became third woman to win Grammy for Best Rap Album recently
American rapper Doechii, 26, has been named 2025 Woman of the Year by Billboard magazine. According to the magazine’s publication this Monday (10), the singer will be honored at an event that will take place at the end of this month. In February this year, Doechii became the third woman to win the Best Rap Album category at the Grammys when she emerged victorious in this year’s edition.
The singer launched her first musical project in 2019, but it was last year that she achieved stardom. Names like Kendrick Lamar, Billie Eilish and Sza are big fans of the artist.
His first viral hit occurred in 2021, with the song “Yucky Blucky Fruitcake”.
The artist’s most recent work — and also her most famous — is the ep “Alligator Bites Never Heal”, which gave her visibility for the 2025 Grammy Awards.
Currently, Doechii is still going viral on social media with the song “Anxiety”, a partnership with Jamaican rapper Sleepy Hallow.
