Selena and Benny share the launch of their project in partnership with their followers on their social networks and music streaming platforms
This Friday (21), singer Selena Gomez and her fiancé, producer Benny Blanco, just launched their joint project. The “I Said I Love You First” project contains 14 tracks, with the participation of Benny on vocals and in the production of the CD, as well as other artists as guests, such as Charli XCX, Gracie Abrams, and the product Fineas. In addition to launching the project on music streaming platforms, a new video for one of the songs on the album, the track “Younger and Hotter Than Me”, was also released on the artist’s channel.
In the new clip, we find Selena Gomez reflective, in a film studio, sleeping in a place full of sheets. During the story, the singer takes something that looks like a bag, walks between the studios, enters a bathroom, finds a girl dressed as a princess, and interacts with the girl through her gaze. And after walking between the sets, she returns to the place where she started the video and calls her boyfriend. After finding their love, they talk for a while, until they say goodbye and the day ends.
During a moment of dialogue between the couple, the singer said she felt out of ideas, and didn’t know if she would one day be able to return to the music market. Her fiance made a suggestion to do a project together, in a project that had simplicity and motivation. The work did not have a long production period, it happened very quickly, most of the compositions were made at their home.
In the composer’s words, it was her project that didn’t take long to complete, and it was a privilege to work with the producer. “It was the fastest album I’ve ever made, because everything flowed naturally,” “Working with Benny was transformative,” said Selena.
The work marks a very special moment in the couple’s lives. In addition to marking the return of the celebrity since her last works, “Rare” which was released in 2020, and the last Spanish EP, “Revelación” in 2021. It also marks this moment of them together as newlyweds since it was made official last year. The new project promises to share the couple’s experience, in the compositions they were made in partnership, with those released as “Sunset Blvd” and “Scared of Loving You”.
