Film hits theaters on May 15th
Paris Films has released a new poster and a new trailer for “Hurry Up Tomorrow: Beyond the Spotlight”, a film based on The Weeknd’s latest self-titled album.
The production, starring Abel Tesfaye, Jenna Ortega and Barry Keoghan, hits theaters on May 15. With never-before-seen footage, the trailer explores the complex relationship between a star and his fan.
The story follows a musician, tormented by insomnia, who goes on an adventure with a mysterious stranger – a young woman obsessed with his work. Their relationship goes beyond the limits of admiration and sanity and leaves him on the brink of a mental breakdown.
The film is directed by Trey Edward Shults, who wrote the script with Trey Abel Tesfaye and Reza Fahim. The film is distributed nationwide by Paris Filmes and produced by Manic Phase Production in association with Live Nation Productions.
Hurry Up Tomorrow is the sixth studio album by Canadian singer-songwriter The Weeknd. It was released by XO and Republic Records on January 31, 2025. The album features guest appearances from Anitta, Playboi Carti, Travis Scott, Florence Welch, Future, and Lana Del Rey. Production was handled primarily by The Weeknd and Mike Dean, along with several other producers, including frequent collaborators DaHeala, Metro Boomin, Max Martin, Oscar Holter, Giorgio Moroder, Oneohtrix Point Never, and Cirkut. Hurry Up Tomorrow is an art pop and R&B album.
