K-pop singer breaks record with single released last year
The music video for BTS’ Jimin’s hit “Who” reached 100 million views on YouTube on Friday (11).
With this, Jimin now has his third music video with 100 million views, following the pre-release song “Set Me Free Pt.2” and the title track “Like Crazy” from his first solo album, “FACE”.
Released on July 19, 2024, “Who” debuted at No. 14 on the Billboard Hot 100, remaining on the chart for a total of 33 weeks. This is a record for the longest run on the chart in K-pop history for both a group and a solo artist.
The song remained on the Official UK Singles Chart for a total of 28 weeks, setting a record for the longest run on the chart for a Korean solo artist since the chart’s revision in 2014.
Additionally, “Who” received a gold certification in the streaming category from the Recording Industry Association of Japan on March 28, highlighting the song’s global popularity.

On July 18, 2024, the song was revealed to be the focus track from his second studio album Muse with an impending performance being teased the same day.[4] On July 22, a pre-recorded performance of the song was broadcast on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, which was recorded before his enlistment in December 2023. The video shows Jimin “flanked by dancers” performing in an abandoned warehouse in front of a neon sign that says “Who”.
