Rocky left the original lineup in 2023
The ASTRO boys will reunite for an unprecedented concert, as announced by the group’s agency, Fantagio. The performance was called “Stargraphy”.
To the surprise of fans, the company also revealed that Rocky, who left ASTRO in February 2023, will also participate in the special concert. He debuted with the group in 2016, and after the expiration of his exclusive contract, he left the lineup.
“Through the collaboration between ASTRO and Rocky, we are preparing a stage that will bring back fond memories for ASTRO and their fans, AROHA. Rocky will perform with the members on songs he previously participated in,” the statement read.
The company also released an official poster announcing the concert, which includes silhouettes of the six ASTRO members. In addition to Rocky being represented, Fantagio also made a point of remembering Moonbin, who passed away in 2023.
Completing the group are Cha Eun-Woo, Yoon San-ha, Jinjin and MJ.
ASTRO is a South Korean boy group formed by Fantagio Entertainment in 2016. Originally composed of six members, namely MJ, Jinjin, Eunwoo, Moonbin, Rocky and Sanha. The group starred in a South Korean series called To Be Continued on August 18, 2015. The group’s musical debut took place on February 23, 2016, with the single “Hide & Seek” from the mini album Spring Up!. In March 2023, Rocky announced his departure from the group and Fantagio Entertainment. Moonbin died on April 19, 2023.
The group was born from the i-Teen project, a Fantagio project to recruit new talent and allow the public to follow the progress of the label’s trainees. On August 14, 2015, the company announced a new series that would feature the members, called To Be Continued, along with profiles of the members. The series also features Seo Kang Joon from the group 5urprise, Yeoreum from the group Hello Venus and some members of the group Weki Meki (Trainees at the time) as extras, all three groups formed by Fantagio.
