Singer and member of the K-pop group BLACKPINK shined in her solo debut at the iconic California festival
While promoting her first solo album, Jennie, known for being a member of the K-pop group BLACKPINK, made her debut as a soloist at Coachella, this Sunday (13), in California. The artist performed a show that celebrated the album Ruby and, for this, she chose a red look with a modern country vibe.
The burgundy look, reminiscent of the cover of the Ruby album, was based on a leather cropped top and mini shorts with a mix of belts on top, which have silver buckles and refer to the cowboycore aesthetic. The set, as well as the short bomber jacket, are from the eponymous brand of Lebanese designer Georges Hobeika.
The hat was the key element to bring back the western vibe, and the brown boots, above the knee and with gathered fabric, also contributed to this proposal. On the other hand, the mask-style sunglasses added a futuristic touch to the result.
Dubbed ‘JenChella’ by fans, the show had no outfit changes, but the singer made small changes throughout, especially in the third piece. She wore an elongated overcoat and rectangular-framed glasses in a Matrix vibe, a silk shirt, a bomber jacket and even an asymmetrical lace skirt.
With an all-female band, Jennie performed songs like Mantra, Love Hangover and ExtraL. And in the audience, Lisa and Rosé, her bandmates from the group BLACKPINK, had fun and showed their support for their friend.
